Praslin Maison des Palmes Hotel, Praslin, Seychelles
Praslin Maison des Palmes Hotel is currently CLOSED for REFURBISHMENTS
Situated on the very edge of the blue-green Indian Ocean, the hotel Praslin Maison des Palmes Hotel is a few minutes drive along the coast from Praslin Airport - luggage can be directed straight to Praslin from Seychelles International Airport. Although close to the airport the hotel is well away from, and out of hearing, of the flight path! Praslin Maison des Palmes Hotel currently closed of an extensive overhaul - there may be some changes from the images contained in our Virtual Tour of Praslin Maison des Palmes Hotel as these were captured prior to the commencement of the refurbishments.
For those arriving via the Mahe - Praslin ferry at "the jetty", Praslin Maison des Palmes Hotel is a stunning 15 - 20 minute taxi ride through the fabulous Vallee de Mai National Park. The coast road around Praslin passes the entrance to Praslin Maison des Palmes Hotel and is well served by local buses. Journeys by bus on Praslin are extraordinarily interesting - and cheap - you can make any journey for just 30 scr -but do take a little longer than travelling by taxi. You do of course ensure that you have the opportunity to meet the locals and really experience Seychelles life and culture.
Excursions and car hire can be arranged through the hotel. Local shops are within walking distance.
Praslin Maison des Palmes Hotel is a very pleasant and welcoming small resort consisting of 24 individual thatched-roofed bungalows hidden amidst palm-studded gardens along the beachfront of Grand Anse, Praslin', Seychelles.
Praslin Maison des Palmes Hotel epitomises the charm of small Seychelles hotels.
The main hotel buildings house a very spacious restaurant decorated in Seychellois Creole style, serving traditional Creole and international cuisine. There is also a bar, swimming pool, tennis court, table tennis and billiards for those requiring a distraction from the golden sandy beach and the waves of the Indian Ocean - the gardens lead directly onto the beach.
The hotel also operates "Stephanie", a beautiful 13m catamaran which is available for day or overnight charters. Big-game fishing charter is also available on request.
Praslin Maison des Palmes Hotel has in the past been the epitome of local Seychellois endeavours. We have no reason to suspect that this has changed but we are unable to confirm the attitude of management at this time.
