Seychelles wins ?¢‚ǨÀúBest Island Destination?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ again
For the third consecutive year, Seychelles has been named as the best island destination thoughout Africa and the Middle East by the widely read Travel and Leisure Magazine.
Travel and Leisure?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s annual World?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s Best Awards, which were released in the magazine?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s August 2007 issue, recognises the best hotels, cities and islands, cruises and airlines in the world as determined by Travel and Leisure readers.
Seychelles again claimed the top spot out of all islands in the Africa dnd Middle East region, this time over Zanzibar, which placed second and Madagascar, which finished third. While Seychelles and Madagascar, remained in their first and third positions from last year. Zanzibar displaced Mauritius which held the number two spot in the 2006 awards.
Seychelles continues to be in the top echelon of desirable holiday destinations, which is a huge affirmation for us in that the destination has been able to maintain its position as that exotic, natural destination which more and more travellers are craving, as the results of the Trave and Leisure surveys show.
